ENERCON Celebrates 1 GW Installed Capacity Milestone in Spain
April 2024 has been a remarkable month for ENERCON Spain, marked by significant achievements and celebrations. In the first quarter, ENERCON Spain reached an impressive milestone of 1 gigawatt (GW) of installed capacity. This landmark achievement was celebrated with a special event in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.

The celebratory event brought together local authorities, customers, business partners, and representatives from various ENERCON teams who collaborated closely to achieve this success. ENERCON has established a dominant presence in the Canary Islands, holding a 67 percent market share in the installed capacity market. With wind turbines on every island, the company has installed a total of 600 Wind Energy Converters (WECs) across Spain.
Following the milestone celebration in Las Palmas, a virtual team meeting was held the next week to include the entire company in the festivities. This meeting provided an opportunity to thank all staff members and acknowledge the contributions of each individual involved in this achievement. The celebrations continued throughout April with various gatherings to honor this significant accomplishment.
