Green Wind Renewables Proposes 600 MW Ambrosia Wind Farm in Western Australia

29 June 2024 –Green Wind Renewables is proud to announce the development of the Ambrosia Wind Farm, a landmark project poised to make a substantial contribution to Western Australia’s renewable energy landscape. Located near Moodiarrup, the wind farm will span across the Shire of West Arthur, approximately 55 kms South-East of Collie and 30 kms South of Darkan.

The project will feature up to 100 wind turbines, generating over 600 megawatts (MW) of clean, sustainable power. This capacity is expected to produce approximately 1.8 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity annually, enough to power the equivalent of 300,000 homes across Western Australia.

Green Wind Renewables will soon commence community consultation and neighbour engagement processes, ensuring transparency and collaboration throughout the development process. The project represents a significant investment in the region’s future, generating employment opportunities and supporting the local economy.

In addition to its economic benefits, the Ambrosia Wind Farm project promises significant environmental advantages. With an eye on combating climate change, the project is expected to offset more than 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually, emphasising the urgency of transitioning towards renewable energy sources.
