29 June 2024 – The Nordex Group has announced the restart of production at its manufacturing facility in West Branch, Iowa, USA. The facility will produce nacelles for the N163 turbine variant and a new product tailored to the US market.

After a temporary suspension, the Iowa facility is set to resume operations, primarily producing components for projects in the US and Canada. Recruitment and training processes are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2024.

Manufacturing nacelles in the US is a crucial step in the company’s growth strategy for the region. The Nordex Group aims to benefit from the expected growth in the US and Canadian markets.

The US team will leverage the local supply chain to meet domestic content requirements, with production capacities expected to exceed 2.5 GW annually by the first half of 2025. This expansion will create new job opportunities in the US.

Manav Sharma, CEO of Division North America, will lead the effort, drawing on his experience as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, where he successfully expanded the company’s global manufacturing network.

The Nordex Group has been active in the US since 2000, with offices, a training academy, and service points throughout the region. This move solidifies the company’s commitment to the North American market.
